God is the ultimate Creator, and we reflect His image when we create.

At Base Christian School, students explore their God-given creativity through engaging, hands-on visual arts and drama experiences. They learn to express themselves, develop fine motor and artistic skills, and discover the joy and discipline of craftsmanship.

From painting to storytelling and performance, our arts program nurtures imagination and confidence, all while pointing students back to the One who made them creative.

Physical education at BCS is about more than movement. It’s about character. Through sports, students learn teamwork, perseverance, integrity, and self-discipline in a supportive and Christ-centered environment.

BCS is a proud member of the Christian Athletic Association of Schools Ontario (CAASO) and regularly competes with other Christian schools across Southwestern Ontario.

Our sports teams include:

  • Soccer

  • Cross Country (Grades 3-8)

  • Volleyball

  • Badminton

  • Basketball

  • Floor Hockey

  • Track & Field (Grades 3-8)

Most teams are open to students in Grades 5-8, and all athletes have access to our full-size gymnasium for practices and training.

God delights in praise, and music is one of our most joyful responses. Our music program invites students to explore rhythm, melody, and harmony while growing in worship and musical skill.

Highlights of our program:

  • Music theory and instrumental instruction for all students

  • Band program begins in Grade 6, with each student assigned an instrument

  • Choral singing and worship integrated into chapel and classroom life

Students in Grades 6-8 are invited to join our lunchtime Concert Band, where they can grow in musical excellence, ensemble performance, and leadership. The band performs at school concerts and special events throughout the year.

Student-led Clubs

We believe in student leadership, creativity, and initiative. Each term, students are encouraged to launch and participate in lunch-hour clubs, mentored by teacher supervisors.

Chapel & Spiritual Life

At Base Christian School, spiritual formation is not just something we do. It's at the heart of who we are. We believe that every child is made in the image of God and invited to live out their part in His story. Through daily discipleship, worship, prayer, and intentional community, we nurture students to grow in faith, character, and purpose.

Every week, our entire school gathers for Chapel, a time of worship, teaching, and prayers. Students sing praises, hear Bible-based messages, and are encouraged to respond to God’s Word in their everyday lives.

Chapel is a special time when students:

  • Grow in their understanding of who God is

  • Learn how Scripture connects to real life

  • Develop a heart for worship

On the last week of each month, we host a special Celebration Worship Chapel:

  • Recognition of students with servant hearts who demonstrated Christlike character

  • Sharing testimonies, class highlights, or outreach projects

We also gather in small Connect Groups regularly for prayer, sharing, and reflection. These groups allow students to: Build relationships across grades and pray with and for one another.
